Fast
Track: A 3-hour-per-day, 5-day training program (Monday
- Friday, 8:30am till 11:30am) consisting of numerous modules that
assist you in quickly getting on track with your job search and/or
career change. The training sessions cover:
Interviewing--Learn how to identify your skills
(transferable and job-related), anticipate questions asked by the
prospective employer, what questions you should ask, how to research
the company, dress for the occassion, be prompt and respond to phone
interviews.
Career
Interest Inventory--Confused about what direction you want
your career to go or where it has been? This self-inventory will
assist you in identifying where your interests lay and the abilities
you possess.
Resume
Preparation--This session will highlight the needed facts
to be included in your resume through the "Resume Builder".
It also covers the importance of well-developed cover letters and
thank-you letters.
Labor
Marker Information--Learn what is hot in today's local
job marker and how it compares to previous job markets.
Networking--What
is "networking" and why is it the #1 way to find a job?
Learn how to develop your own networking system and how to implement
it.
Portfolio
Development--Learn how you can prove what you say you can
do. Not only must you be able to talk the talk; you must also be
able to prove you can walk the walk.
Application--A
properly and thoroughly completed application is very important
in landing that job. Find out what the "do's" and "don'ts"
of a properly complered application are. Learn how to avoid the
common mistakes of completing an application.
