Youth Services
Helping individuals get jobs they can keep!

Through the grant funding of the WIA (Workforce Investment Act), Career Choices is able to provide a unique opportunity for youth ages 14 - 21 years old to "earn while they learn". The program allows youth to earn incentive payments while they learn and acquire various skills necessary for employment. These skills include job seeking skills, personal career and educational guidance, job skill inventories and assesments and job readiness skills. Furthermore, the program offers youth a chance to develop friendships, grow in the areas of leadership, citizenship and self-esteem. The program is based on the young person's need and their belief that young people can make life choices given the proper information and appropriate guidance. By doing this, Career Choices can better prepare youth for their future!

The youth program is a year-round program that targets both in and out of school youth. It targets the young person's assets through a series of assesments including basic skills, occupational skills, interest, aptitudes, supportive needs and developmental needs. Based on these results, a customer's driven employment plans are then developed. The individual employment plan includes long and short-term employment and educational goals, established by the youth and his/her career consultant.

Enrollment into the Career Choices Youth Program is based on family income eligibility guidelines. This is determined by using the LLLIS (Lower Level Living Income Standard) for the given residence of youth. Career Choices Incorporated does asses each youth for their suitability of enrollment into the program.

Career Choices Incorporated (CCI) offers an array of services to youth including:
